I'm appreciating the arms and the presentationand the humor and the experimentation, but for me the feet have always been the thrill. —Gregory Hines

Holly Gundolfi the dancer with tap shoes

Tap teaches rhythm and musicality as well as coordination and balance. For these reasons, as well as offering a great low impact aerobic workout, tap dance is especially beneficial for seniors who fondly remember the classic movie musicals. It is the perfect "feel good" dance genre because while the basics will get you moving, there is always an opportunity to be challenged by a new combination as the brain creates new neural pathways.
